The commissioning process involved various activities such as inspection, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure that the electrical system operates as per the design specifications. The objective of the commissioning and startup process was to ensure that the electrical systems were functioning optimally and that they met the requirements of the end-user.
Commissioning of the electrical systems involved testing and verifying the performance of various components such as switchgear, transformers, and motors. The tests included but were not limited to continuity testing, insulation resistance testing, and very low-frequency testing. Additionally, the project involved the testing and commissioning of VSDs (Variable Speed Drives) used to control the speed of motors and pumps. The successful completion of the NMDP project by Igec demonstrated the company’s expertise in providing high-quality commissioning and startup services for electrical systems.
