The POM, IBN SINA SABIC project is a petrochemical complex located in Al Jubail Industrial City, in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. The project is a joint venture between SABIC, the largest public company in the Middle East, and POM (Petrochemical Operations Company) IBN SINA, a subsidiary of the National Industrialization Company (TASNEE). The complex will include the production of Propylene Oxide (PO) and its derivatives, the facility will be utilizing Methyl Ethyl Ketone Peroxide (MEKP) as the main raw material. The project is part of SABIC’s and POM’s efforts to diversify and expand their product offerings, and also to meet the growing demand for petrochemical products in the region and internationally. The completion date for the project was not specified.
